Journalist and Chairman of the Correspondents in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Mr. Oladapo Ibikunle has cried out to allege threat to his life by thugs loyal to certain politician and member, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, representing Ibadan North State Constituency 2 in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
According to Mr. Ibikunle, he was manhandled by the thugs in the entourage of the Law maker, despite the fact that he made effort to move out of their way but he couldn’t due to traffic congestion along Sango Poly road. After banging his car and manhandling him, he alleged that they repeatedly told him they are going to kill him.
Mr. Ibikunle revealed that he was shocked to realize that the Law Maker was actually in the convoy watching his boys descend on him, while he made no attempt to caution them. Shortly after that sad episode, he was able to meet the Law maker himself, but unfortunately he was not properly attended to, neither was his fear of being killed or harmed addressed by the Lawmaker.
Mr. Oladapo Ibikunle however noted that he has called to report the ugly incident to the Nigerian Police and the leadership of the Oyo State House of Assembly!
All efforts to reach Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel proved abortive as calls placed to his line are not answered and text messages sent are not responded to yet, as at press time.
