Yousuph Adebayo bags International Awards: From Overlooked to Acclaimed Head of Radio Station



Yousuph Adebayo, a shinning star in the broadcasting industry of Ibadan, reflects on his journey from being undervalued to becoming a respected leader.

At just 25 years old, Adebayo serves as the Head of Station of of one of the most influential radio stations in Ibadan, Oyo State, a remarkable feat considering his humble beginnings.

“I started my career by putting in twice the effort to receive half the recognition,” Adebayo recounts. “But now, being acknowledged as a thought leader in my industry means the world to me.”



Adebayo’s accomplishments were recently honored on a sub-continental scale at the Nigerian Emerging Leaders Awards for Broadcast Media.

Presented by the West African Leadership Empowerment Center, this prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of broadcasting.

Reflecting on the event, Adebayo expressed admiration for the multitude of young leaders making strides across various sectors. “It reaffirms my belief in our generation’s ability to assume leadership roles and create positive change,” he remarks.



Adebayo sees his generation as fierce, ambitious, and relentless in shaping the world on their own terms. “The present us is defining our world in our own way,” he says. “I can only imagine what the future holds for us.” With Adebayo at the forefront, the future of broadcasting looks promising and innovative.
