Staff Lament as Newly Established Radio Station in Ibadan Fails to pay Salary

A member of Staff in one of the newly established radio stations in Ibadan has raised alarm over the failure of the station’s management to pay her staff their monthly salary

The frustrated media worker reached out to Primus Media under the condition of anonymity. He lamented continuous owing of monthly salary by the radio station that is barely a year old. He informed us that while some staff members are owed 2 months salary, some are owed 3 month or more.

However, Primus Media City is using this medium to passionately appeal to the management and board of the affected radio station and others in its league to please do the honourable thing, to avoid being called out.

We believe the remuneration of staff, especially the young ones who are grossly underpaid, should not be unjustly delayed or denied. Therefore, we shall not hesitate to name and shame any media organization that fails to honour the contract it willingly offered its staff.
