Space 90.1 FM, Ibadan, Oyo state, under the umbrella of Space Network has started its upgrading process to be at par with digital technology and broadcasting automation. The station is now transmitting via renewable energy (solar) which makes the radio platform as the first to do so in Oyo state.
Also, the station also decided to sanitize its programming protocol by checkmating the abuse of airtime. While apologizing to numerous fans of the station, the media consultant, Demola Sanyaolu, stressed that the station will be back with a renewed verve after the process reaches its full cycle.
Listeners will be served with a delicious menu of exciting, educating and informative programs.
However, the station wishes to debunk the fake news making the rounds that there is trouble in the station and advises those who practice journalism to do so with responsibility by respecting the ethics of balance, objectivity, conciseness etc. before publishing stories that can put their media in jeopardy with the tag of fake news.
In order to report stories, both sides need to be given fair hearing before publishing. Space Network also has an online television channel which is being revived too.
Space Network now has facilities for training, workspace for those who need an office space to work with (plus internet service).
Primus Media City wishes the media house a successful upgrade.
