Students of the Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan, has extolled the virtues of Pensioners’ FM’s General Manager, Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu, describing him as a builder of young people.
Vice President of the Institution’s students’ union, Mr Kayode Abdulqudus, spoke when he presented an award of Leadership Excellence to Dr Tiamiyu in his office during a visit to the station.
Mr Abdulqudus said “He has been a great man and also a great motivator. Each time we call on him he is always ready to assist in big or small ways. That is why we decided to give him the leadership award”.
Mr Abdulqudus said Dr Tiamiyu had overtime proven to be one who encourages students to excel in all they do.
Responding, Dr Tiamiyu said he held the award in high esteem coming from the younger generation who had been following his activities.
“It came as a surprise. But it also means that people are watching you in whatever you do. I really thank them and pray to God to bless them.”
The award was presented in the presence of Pensioners FM’s Management staff.
