The first Labour radio station in Africa, Pensioners 106.7 FM, Ibadan appoints Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu as its new General manager after Mr. Lere Shittu recently bowed out of the office.
This is contained in a letter dated 20th of August, 2021 signed by the Chief Executive Officers and Managing Director of Pensioners FM Global Venture, Comrade Dr Olusegun Abatan.
Until his new appointment, Dr. Tiamiyu who was the pioneer Head of Programmes and News, later became the Director of programmes for the station.
An alumni of the University of Ibadan, Dr. Tiamiyu has made tremendous impact as a mass communicator and astute journalist and media. Dr. Tiamiyu is a multiple professional and merit awards winner in journalism and media practice.
According to Comrade Dr. Abatan, the new appointment takes effect from 1st of August, 2021.
Pensioners’ 106.7 FM is an independent urban radio station set up by the Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP) Oyo State Council which according to them is a good platform to market your products/services and as well serve the general interest of the public as regards information dissemination, education and entertainment.
