Entertainment in Ibadan city has taken another creative and exceptional dimension with Ibadan comedians coming to fill the airwaves with their homorous and hilarious contents. Ibadan comedians are emerging crucial part of Ibadan radio entertainment, thus, making their impact felt, and cannot be left out in the city and beyond.
Many of these comedians have stepped up to be On-Air personalities on various Ibadan Radio platform without any let down as comedians even though they have they divert beat. Radio stations as well have deemed it fit to create space for the comedians to win more audience to their Broadcasting organization.
Primus Media City has come again with an unending list of Ibadan comedians that are prudent on Radio and still relevant as comedians. The following are 10 Ibadan comedians making waves on Radio, giving the concluding part of the 5 list of our earlier release. All in no particular order, the part 2 follows thus:
Gabriel Iyanuoluwa Ayomitunde Uji (Petals 102.7 FM)
The humour merchant better known as Anointed Mallam is a comedian steadily building a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He is a singer and a drummer per excellence who would have been a professional drummer if comedy has not come to stay in him. He is a dedicated young man who makes Ibadan radio an interesting one to always stick with whenever he is on Petals 102.3 FM.
Taiwo Olusanya (Obama) 32 94.9 FM
Mc Obama is reputable amidst the indigenous comedians in Ibadan making Radio a base for humorous and highly entertaining indigenous contents. Extremely versatile and impossible to ignore, One would think comedy is his only forte until you hear him sing like birds that heals the soul. Obama channels his prophetic and spiritual sided to anchor “Faaji Express” on Fridays and Saturdays by 8 -9pm.
Bryan Oluwagbemiga Adefuwa (Da 13th Disciple) Lagelu 96.7 FM
Da 13Th Disciple with his comedic look he wears often is an household name in the city, a professional Stand-up comedian, broadcaster/journalist and a presenter. He cast 6pm Pidgin News, Yotomi Express from Mondays through Thursdays (5:30pm to 7:30pm), Jollification Friday(6:30pm to 8pm), Club96 Reloaded on Fridays (10pm to 1am), and Co-host on Comedy Rampage (10pm to 11pm) on Sundays. The Radio Commando as called on Radio has performed in many comedy shows in Ibadan and beyond.
Owomoyela Nifemi (Peteru) Fresh 105.9 FM
Peteru Peteru is a renowned comedian in the history of Ibadan comedy. He is a good representative of Ibadan comedy anytime, any day. He is a stand-up comedian and entertainer per excellence doing excellently well. With him everywhere and anywhere sorrows are laughed away. Peteru is the host of Comedy Extra on Fresh 105.9 FM Ibadan. Peteru is really endowed in making his Radio show a tonic for his audience.
Balogun Taiwo (MC Johnnyb) Noble 107.1 FM
MC Johnny is a clinical and humorous OAP, event planner and a dynamic actor. He is one of the young minds in the industry trying to carve his name in gold in the heart of the people. He is the regular anchor of Originality every Saturday, 1pm-2pm on Noble FM and co-host Joli Joli with Big Smile on Noble FM.
