Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy’s Social Media Director, Dr. Olajide Atansuyi, has successfully completed his doctoral studies in Mass Communication at Babcock University in Ilisan Remo, Ogun State.
Dr. Atansuyi’s achievement marks a significant milestone as the first Public Affairs officer within the state’s civil service to attain this distinction. His doctoral research focused on the topic of “Rhetorical Strategies, Ideology, and Power Discourse Framing in Social Media Political Campaign Posts of Selected Presidential Candidates in Nigeria’s 2023 Election.”
Embarking on this academic journey in 2019, Dr. Atansuyi’s dedication to scholarly excellence is evident. Olumide Sogunle, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Strategy, praised Dr. Atansuyi’s accomplishment, emphasizing how it highlights both his personal commitment to academic excellence and the state government’s commitment to pioneering communication strategies.
