The host team and organizer, Jamz 100.1 FM Ibadan emerged winner of Ibadan Radio Station’s 5-aside football tournament after beating the runner-up team, Fresh 105.9 FM 3-2 in the Finals on Thursday.
The tournament which started on Wednesday, April 7, and ended on Thursday, April 8, as packaged by Jamz FM in conjunction with Pioneer Sports and Leisure Center involved On-air Personalities of 8 radio stations at Pioneer Sports and Leisure Center, Jericho, Ibadan, Oyo state.
The winning team, while celebrating with their trophy took to their official social media handle to parade themselves as the Champion of Ibadan. Also, the following were the awardees for the just concluded tournament, Most Valuable Player – Neyo (Fresh FM); Best Goalkeeper – Big Johnny (Jamz FM); Highest Goal Scorer – Afeez Mohammed Cantona (Jamz Fm)
The organizer,Jamz 100.1 FM, is an Urban, Contemporary themed music station, which aimed at becoming the people’s radio within the shortest possible time in the city and beyond as a developmental broadcast station intending to bring social information, news and public affairs to the mainstream.
