Multiple Award-winning On-air personality and indigenous health content maestro, Faysol Oluwakemi, is set to hold the seventh edition of his annual health lecture, this October in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The 7th Faysol Oluwakemi Annual Health Lecture (FOHCAF 2022) themed; “Mental Health and Substance Abuse: A threat to future generations” will be chaired by the Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun.
The event, scheduled to hold on Monday, 3rd October 2022, at the House of Chiefs, Oyo state House of Assembly complex, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, is expected to hold at 10:00 AM prompt.
The convener, Faysol Oluwakemi, in a statement made available to newsmen by the secretary of the event Planning Committee, Aminah Hamzat, stressed that the annual event is aimed at spreading health information and awareness to the populace as professional health practitioners would be assembled at the event to do justice to the theme.
The statement further hinted that the event will feature free general medical screening which will commence by 9 AM, and award presentations for selected personalities, while Faysol Oluwakemi’s health news and wellness-focused website “Health Reportage will be unveiled.
Dignitaries expected at the event are Professor Babatunde Salako, DG, Nigeria Institute of Medical Research; Dr Olayinka Joel Ayefele, Chairman, Fresh FM, Nigeria; Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, S.A to the Oyo State Governor on Youths and Sports; Professor Fatai Adeniyi, deputy provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan; Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, Chairman, Agidigbo FM, Ibadan; Former Osun state INEC resident electoral commissioner, Prof. Abdul Ganeey Raji; NUJ chairman, Oyo State chapter, comrade Ademola Babalola; Mrs Muraina-Akinola Taiwo Adenike, deputy clerk, Oyo State House of Assembly, among others.
Expected Speakers at the event are Dr Oludayo Tade, Sociologist and Communication Expert; Mr Seye Omiyefa, Founder, Centre for Health and Substance Abuse Prevention CHEASAP; Pastor Adebowale Daniel, Founder, Compassionate Empowerment and Development Initiative; and other major stakeholders in the health sector.
