Ubosi clarified that the reason behind this temporary closure was the challenging economic climate, which prompted the organization to strategically pause its activities.

Megalectrics, a prominent broadcasting company in Nigeria, has officially announced a temporary suspension of operations for two of its radio stations, namely The Beat 97.9FM and Naija FM 102.7FM, located in Ibadan.

The Chief Executive Officer of Megalectrics, Christopher Ubosi, disclosed this decision in a press release issued from Lagos on Thursday. Ubosi clarified that the reason behind this temporary closure was the challenging economic climate, which prompted the organization to strategically pause its activities.

However, Ubosi emphasized that their stations in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and London continue to operate without interruption. He pointed out that this brief pause for the two Ibadan stations will enable the company to regroup, undergo necessary restructuring, and return with even more robust services, aiming to provide an improved experience for their valued staff, clients, and the dedicated listening audience.

In Ubosi’s words, “Megalectrics acknowledges the significant impact that Beat and Naija FM have had on the dynamic city of Ibadan. Over time, these stations have become an integral part of the local culture, offering unmatched entertainment, music, and news.”

He expressed gratitude to the dedicated Ibadan staff for their pivotal role in the success of The Beat FM and Naija FM, pledging to recognize and reward their dedication during these challenging times. Additionally, Ubosi extended heartfelt appreciation to their esteemed clients for their unwavering support and collaboration.

Ubosi highlighted the importance of trust and communication, vowing to maintain open lines of dialogue as they work collectively to devise innovative solutions that benefit all stakeholders.

Regarding the impact on their loyal listeners, Ubosi remarked, “We understand the impact that The Beat and Naija FM have had on the lives of our cherished listeners in Ibadan and its surroundings.” He assured them that the decision to temporarily suspend operations was made after careful consideration of all available options.

Ubosi conveyed optimism that this hiatus would be temporary, and they were diligently striving to exceed expectations upon their return. He reiterated the company’s commitment to providing exceptional entertainment, supporting local talent, and fostering community engagement.

In conclusion, Ubosi expressed confidence that this temporary pause would pave the way for a brighter future for The Beat FM and Naija FM in Ibadan and its environs, promising a refreshed and invigorating radio experience that resonates deeply with their audience’s hearts and minds.
