The Oyo State Police Command has summoned journalist Temitayo Oyeladun, popularly known as Abooro, alongside two guests, Dr. Doyin Adebowale and Dr. Festus Adedayo, over a recent episode of Bosenlo, a weekly program aired on Lagelu FM.
According to an official police letter signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Bamigboye O. Martins, the trio is expected to appear before the State Intelligence Department (SID) at Eleyele Police Headquarters in Ibadan today at 10:00 AM.
The police are investigating allegations of “conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace” following the controversial broadcast on January 25, 2025.
The episode in question, which featured Adebowale and Adedayo as guests, has sparked intense reactions, particularly among locals defending their traditional ruler.
The backlash escalated into threats against Oyeladun, who previously revealed that he has been receiving death threats and pressure to resign.
Several civil society organizations and colleagues of the journalist have called for a transparent and fair process, urging the police to ensure that Oyeladun and his guests receive due protection rather than persecution.
