The seminar which had over hundred participants took place at Ogbere Church auditorium, Oremeji Express-Way on Saturday, April 9, 2021in Ibadan, Oyo state.
Mr. Double A who shared his life story with the students described his growing up as a hopeless one but yet had his head high to succeed. He stated that he was birthed into a lower class of the society where it was hard for him to earn a living let alone having access to formal education. “My mum could only give me #50 during my secondary school days out of #150 daily need of transportation.”
“After my secondary school education, I had to learn and work in a bread bakery before I could get little money into my pocket to feed with. I attended a program about career choice just like the one we are having today when I realized that I was wasting away until I chose my media career. I approached Edmund Obilo who introduced me to Ajibola Akinyefa who tutored me in the way of radio due to my choice of Yoruba presentation.”
Abiodun Adewole therefore charged the students to break the mind barrier which he had broken even after his F9 parallel first O’level result as a result of poor background and upbringing. He believes nothing can limit an individual if he or she is determined and ready for life journey. “Despite my poor background, I followed my passion, I identified and pursued my ability in radio presentation through the light and help of Jesus Christ.”
