I-Flier 103.3 FM celebrated its staff and hosted media icons in the state at the 2nd edition of the Dinner and Awards Night on Friday, December 29, 2023, at its premises located at I-Flier College Road, Ogungbade, Adegbayi, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The Chairman of the radio station, Mr. Babarimisa Charles, set the tone with a heartfelt welcome address, expressing gratitude to guests of honor and the dedicated I-Flier 103.3 FM team. He reiterated the station’s commitment to being the premier edutainment radio station in Nigeria.
Ace Broadcaster Emperor Imoyosola Adetoro of Amuludun FM delivered a compelling keynote address on “The Influx of the Media Outfit,” challenging media houses to have an identity and be well-structured. He emphasized radio presenters’ need to respect their callers and maintain professionalism in handling their audience on-air.
Adetoro advised I-Flier FM to stand on its structure and maintain its identity amidst the growing number of radio stations in Ibadan. He praised the Chairman for fostering a platform for talents and prioritizing staff welfare.
The newly appointed General Manager, Mr. Adejare Amuda, led the team in presenting a token of love to the Chairman, acknowledging his unwavering support and commitment to staff welfare and the station’s success.
The highlight of the evening was the recognition and awards bestowed upon outstanding staff. Notable winners included Esther Atilola for Best English Newscaster, Olamide Oke for Most Resourceful Staff, and Nurudeen MC Babador for Most Consistent OAP.
Abiodun Adejo received the accolade for Best Studio Manager, while Ademola Olamilekan was celebrated as the Most Friendly Staff. Afolakemi Oyewole took home the Best Yoruba Newscaster award, and Esther Atilola secured the title of Best Staff of the Year.
Distinguished personalities graced the occasion, including Veteran Broadcaster Chief Onalapo Gbolagun, Chief Abiola Ali, and Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, Ace Broadcaster Emperor Adetoro Imoyosola, Lawrence Olisa, Israel Babalola, Samuel Ibikunle Arugboboisi, Are Olabode Anisoloja, and other luminaries from the broadcasting industry were also present.
