Traditional Media Remains Validator, says Kwame Dadzie of Joy 99.7 FM, Ghana

Kwame Dadzie, a known radio personality with Joy 99.7 FM in Accra, has asserted that traditional media, despite the rise of digital platforms, continues to play a crucial role in validating and amplifying public figures.

In a statement made available via his social media platform, Dadzie emphasized that while digital media has gained significant traction, traditional media outlets still hold a unique power to lend credibility and legitimacy to individuals and their messages.

He explained that even if a digital platform reaches a larger audience, appearing on a traditional media platform, such as a radio or television show, can significantly enhance one’s perceived authority and influence.

According to him, “Traditional media hasn’t outlived its usefulness yet. Don’t let the currency that digital media has now, deceive you about the relevance of traditional media. It still wields the “validator” power.

“There is a way your appearance on a traditional media platform that has 1000 listeners psychologically complements your 100,000 views on a digital platform. It’s usually not even about how many people you reach via that traditional platforms; it’s the validation the feature gives you.” He added.
