Tiwantiwa Radio 106.5 FM Ibadan, under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Yinka Joel Ayefele MON, has announced the addition of veteran broadcaster Alhaji Wale Rufai to its team.

Alhaji Wale Rufai, a seasoned veteran in the broadcasting industry with a distinguished career at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), was officially introduced on Thursday, November 2, 2023, during the popular Yoruba Newspaper review program on Fresh 105.9 FM in Ibadan, Oyo State.

In an exclusive chat with Primus Media, Dr. Adebayo Faleke, the General Manager of Tiwantiwa Radio, expressed his delight at having Alhaji Wale Rufai join the team, describing it as a “thing of joy” for the station. He stated, “Having an institution like veteran Wale Rufai on board is a thing of Joy for us at Tiwantiwa Radio! His wealth of Experience will definitely be beneficial to our brand.”

Dr. Faleke also commended the station’s Chairman and Founder, Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON), for his remarkable ability to identify and nurture media talent. He added, “The chairman/ founder – Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON) is a creative hunter when it comes to hunting for talents for media business!”

Furthermore, Dr. Faleke expressed heartfelt appreciation to Tiwantiwa Radio’s global listeners, especially those in Ibadan, for their unwavering support since the station’s inception. He eagerly anticipated the official launch of their new radio station, Tiwantiwa 106.5.

Alhaji Wale Rufai, who previously served as the Director of Programs at BCOS before his retirement, is a revered figure in the Southwest region of Nigeria, with decades of experience in the broadcasting industry. He has lent his expertise to some of the region’s most prominent radio stations, including BCOS, FRCN Ibadan, and MITV.
