8th Faysol Oluwakemi Annual Health Lecture Holds 2nd October


Faysol Oluwakemi, a renowned indigenous health content creator and Fresh FM On-air personality, is gearing up for the eighth edition of his highly anticipated annual health lecture. The event is scheduled to take place on Monday, 2nd October 2023, at David Ajiboye Hall, Yinka Ayefele Music House, located in Challenge, Ibadan by 10am prompt.

The theme for this year’s lecture, “Cancer: Kill It Before It Kills You,” underscores the critical importance of early detection and prevention of cancer.

Mr. Faysol Oluwakemi, the convener of the event, expressed his commitment to spreading health awareness among the public. In a statement released by Dr. Tobiloba Ojo, the secretary of the event planning committee, it was emphasized that the annual health lecture aims to bring together healthcare professionals to address vital health issues.



One of the highlights of the event is free general medical screening, commencing at 8:30 AM. Attendees can benefit from various screenings, including eye examinations, blood sugar tests, blood pressure checks, hepatitis screenings, and several other essential blood tests. Additionally, Faysol Oluwakemi will officially unveil his health news and wellness-focused website, “Health Reportage.”

Distinguished speakers at the event include: Dr. Mutiu Alani Jimoh, Consultant Clinical Radiation Oncologist, University College Hospital, Ibadan; Dr. Foluke Sarimiye, Consultant Radiation and Clinical Oncologist/Psycho-Oncologist, Executive Director of Patela Care Foundation; Dr. Bolaji Lateef Salako, Radiation and Clinical Oncologist, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta; Dr. Afolabi Oladeji, Consultant Radiation and Clinical Oncologist, Director of Alpha Specialist Hospital, Ibadan.

The event is expected to host prominent dignitaries, including Professor Babatunde Salako, DG of the Nigeria Institute of Medical Research; Hon. Waheed Akintayo Ilumoka, Member representing Oluyole State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly; Professor Fatai Adeniyi, Deputy Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan; Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, former S.A to the Oyo State Governor on Youths and Sports; Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, Chairman of Agidigbo FM, Ibadan, and Chief Mrs. Dotun Olaitan, Executive Chairman of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).

Several organizations have been invited to participate in the event, including the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria, Oyo State branch; Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy; Ibadan Mega Voice; South West Professional Broadcasters, among others.
