THE popular radio host of “Lagbo Irawo” on Fresh 105.9 FM Ibadan, Waheed Akintayo “Ilumoka Presenter” has taken to his social handles to declare his intention to contest for Oyo State House of Assembly under the flagship of the ruling party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Ilumoka Presenter will be representing Oluyole state constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
His official statement reads,
“Sequel to thorough consultations amongst the various stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] I Alhaji Waheed Akintayo popularly known as Ilumoka Presenter hereby declare my intention to contest for the State House of Assembly election to represent Oluyole state constituency in Oyo State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
“As a true democrat who believes that politics is all about the people and not for personal gains, I want to use my experience as an erudite broadcaster and Tourism expert to bring smiles to the faces of the downtrodden in my constituency by sponsoring laws that will centre on the welfare of the people and equally facilitate many developmental projects to the grassroot if elected.
“I believe strongly that my 2023 Legislative Agenda and contributions on the floor of the House of Assembly will lead to improvements in the social welfare policies of the state, improve its security and ultimately contribute to the expansion of its economy that will bring food on the table of the majority of the people.
“I want to say a very big thank you to my people in Oluyole Constituency for their tireless and unflinching support for the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in the last three years. I promised not to disappoint you if giving the opportunity to represent you in 2023 election.
