After the in-house familiarization chats, Yemi Sonde, the Group Managing Director of Yemi Sonde Media Group has officially pronounced the naming of Yes FM Live Studio to be “Toba Opaleye Live Studio” in memory and to immortalize his mentor and boss, late Atobatele Iyeru omo Opaleye. Also, he presented the first set of official cars to the management team of Yes FM.
In a statement signed by Adedamola Ajiboye for the Group, the familiarization chats had in attendance Dr Festus Adedayo, Alagba Lere Shittu, Mr Kayode Joseph, Fola Folayan the General Manager of Yes FM and many other Yes FM personnel.
The Introduction and official welcome address by Mr Yemi Sonde was based on his journey into broadcasting and his rise to stardom which was due to consistency, perseverance, hard work, dedication and passion. He used his life story to encourage the Yes FM personnel and his stands for professionalism in the discharge of duties on Yes FM, Yemi Sonde who gave the 6th edition of Nigeria Broadcasting Code to over 50 attendees who are majorly staff of Yes FM emphasized the need for every broadcaster to be up and doing in the discharge of their broadcasting duties.
He encouraged everyone to read the NB Code and Addendum like they read the holy books. Yemi Sonde promised training and retraining for all Yes FM staff as and when due to bring out the best in each personnel. He reiterated the need for collaboration and not competition with radio stations around. Yemi Sonde made known the name of the Yes FM Live Studio to be “Toba Opaleye Live Studio” in memory and to immortalize his mentor and boss, late Atobatele Iyeru omo Opaleye. He thanked his late parents, wife, children and all his old staffs.
Goodwill messages from Dr Festus Adedayo and Alagba Lere Shittu also centered on what the world is expecting from 101.7 Yes FM and what the proprietor, Yemi Sonde stands for.
After the familiarization tour conducted by the Head of Maintenance and Logistics, Mr Lanre Adeosun for the new staff of Yes FM, group photographs were taken.
Yemi Sonde who announced officially that the first set of official cars would be done immediately after the familiarization chats led the Yes FM team to the Yemi Sonde Media House Car lot while the duo of Kayode Joseph and Lere Shittu presented the first official cars to the management staffs respectively to the General Manager, Head of Marketing, Head of Maintenance and Logistics and Head of Programmes and News while he more official cars are coming in a possible shortest time.
