In commemoration of the United Nation World Radio Day, Primus Media City, a growing media conglomerate in the brown roof city of Ibadan among others were conferred with 2022 Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding contribution to radio broadcasting in Nigeria and globally.
The public lecture and conferment of awards took place on Sunday, 13th February, 2022 at Nigeria Union of Journalists Hall Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo state, and it critically assessed the theme “Radio and Trust” in our community. The event was organized by Center for Leadership and Good Governance International in conjunction with NGM Group, anchored by Olatunde Idowu of Yes FM, Ibadan.
The lecture delivered by the speaker, Prof. Ayo Ojebode from the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan focused on the need to enhance the trust of people in radio by embracing professionalism. Furthermore, he stated that one of the determinants of people’s trust in Radio is listeners application of the knowledge gained from programmes.
