Pensioners’ FM GM, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu, Others Inducted as Pioneer Member of Society of Nigerian Broadcasters



About one hundred and seventy broadcasters, including the General Manager of Pensioners’ 106.7 FM, Ibadan, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu have been inducted into the Society of Broadcasters of Nigeria on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

In a keynote address at the second leg of the induction of the Society of Nigerian broadcasters, Chairman, Channels Media Group, Doctor John Momoh, charged broadcasters to reposition the media landscape with the coming on board of the Society of Nigerian broadcasters.


According to Momoh, Broadcasting remains one of the longest existing professions and the most powerful communication tool in Nigeria.

He urged broadcast professionals and organisations to promote peace and development while putting the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians at heart especially with the coming election.

Meanwhile, General Manager, Pensioners’ FM, Dr. Babatunde Tiamiyu was glad to be a part of the pioneer members inducted on Tuesday. “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the new real regulators of the Broadcasting Profession in Nigeria, SOCIETY OF NIGERIAN BROADCASTERS.

“Yours truly is one of pioneers registered members of SNB being presented with my Certificate of Membership by a former DG of NTA, Engr. SHNGLE WIGWE, msnb in the presence of one of brains behind the new Society Amb. Dr Yemi Faronbi, msnb. When next you are writing my name, don’t forget to put “msnb” in front of it ; Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu, msnb. Thanks and God bless.”

Society of Nigerian Broadcasters is a platform and source of inspiration for both serving and retired broadcasters. The group is to serve as advocacy body for the Broadcast industry in Nigeria. Also, to lay down standards of knowledge, training and experience in the art, Science and techniques of broadcasting appropriate to the various grades of membership of the Society.
