Olaosebikan, Sikiru Akinola make list as Tinubu announces Publicity Committee in Oyo


The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Media and Publicity Directorate has expressed their confidence in Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan’s media credentials by his appointment as Chairman of the Oyo State Publicity Committee and the approval of an initial 15-man State Committee members out of the 25 to work with him. Oyo Insight publisher, Sikiru Akinola made the list as well.

Alh Olaosebikan was given notice of the State Committee members’ approval via a letter dated Tuesday, December 13, 2022, and signed by Bayo Onanuga, the PCC, Director of Media and Publicity.

According to the letter, the Oyo State Publicity Committee is to be chaired by Olaosebikan and includes Mr Olawale Sadare, Mr Akeem Oyetunji, Mrs Olukemi Ajayi, Mr Sikiru Akinola, Mr Femi Popoola, Dr Joshua Oyebamiji, Dr Olatunde Abdulazeez, Mr Adebisi Moshood, Mr Fatai Adesokan, Mr Afeez Bolaji Repete, Mr Adesola Yaqub, Princess Bola Oyewunmi, Mr Olubunmi Sodipo, Mrs Bose Oyewole and Mr Tunji Ajibade.

The State Publicity Committee which is charged with the management in Oyo State, of all media efforts towards the actualization of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential bid, has a pragmatic choice in Olaosebikan as Chairman.

After a meritorious service culminating in being the Regional Editor of Vanguard Newspapers for Northern Nigeria, Olaosebikan served as the Chief Press Secretary to the late Governor Lam Adesina from 1999 to 2003.

He introduced a special welfare package christened KO (sobriquet for his initials) on the assumption of office in 1999, an allowance still being enjoyed by journalists in Oyo State till date.

A seasoned campaign manager, Olaosebikan served as Director, Media and Publicity for Presidential Campaign Councils in 2011 and 2015. A two-time former Local Government Chairman and a former gubernatorial aspirant, Olaosebikan is a natural grassroots politician and PR practitioner per excellence.
