Media Mourns: NUJ Declares 3-Day Mourning Period To Honour Late OSBC Chairman, Tunde Adeyemo

Nigeria Union of journalists, Osun state council has declared three days mourning period in honour of late chairman of OSBC chapel of the union,Mr Tunde Adeyemo who died at the early hour of today after a brief illness.

A statement by the chairman of the union, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu and Secretary,Comrade Bukola Elufadejin said the union will put all its activities on hold within the period.

Recall that the management of OSBC, confirmed that the ace journalist died on Monday morning, 14 March, 2022.

“The OSBC family regrets to announce the sudden and shocking demise of one of our staff and chairman, OSBC Chapel of The Nigeria Union of Journalist, Mr. Tunde Adeyemo, who was until his transition this morning, Monday the 14th of March, 2022, a newscaster, presenter and editor in the news and current affairs department of the Corporation, during a brief illness. We condole with his immediate family, colleagues, and the entire OSBC family for this loss. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Amen.”

The statement of the Chairman of the union noted that late Adeyemo who worked with Osun state broadcasting corporation before his death was a committed and dedicated member of the union.

The vacuum he left as the chairman of OSBC chapel of the Union would be very difficult to fill by the state council.

The union however takes solace in the fact that late Adeyemo live a fulfilled life and his service in the vineyard of the lord and humanity cannot be underestimated.

It is the prayer of the union that God Almighty will grant the family,relatives and NUJ the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
