It is a soothing relief for fans and listeners of the Radio Duchess, Mariam Adeola Gbadebo better known as “Mspyce” of Splash 105.5 FM, whose voice has been conspicuously missing from the airwaves of the city for a while now. Finally the Radio Duchess has broken the very long awkward silence in her new year message to her fans and family.
Mspyce in her new year message described the just concluded year 2021 as a tough year for her. She also noted that her absence on and off air was as a result of a chronic illness, which she did not disclose.
In her exact words, “2021 was a particularly tough year for me. Discovering I had a chronic illness and fighting each day to survive it. Many people were unaware of what I’ve been dealing with so could not understand my situation, silence or disappearance from the social scene. It’s 2022 now. I’m grateful to be here.. much love to everyone who supported me, stood by me, checked on me, prayed with me.. I love you and appreciate you.
