One of the leading lights and a frontline Yoruba Sports presenter in South West, Nigeria, Shola Aiyegbajeje has now pitched his tents with the newly established radio station in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state.

Primus Media gathered that the Ace Yoruba presenter who is popularly known as Mr Lanaa (yesterday) in the ancient city of Ibadan told Sports Embassy of Nigeria that he had spent roughly 18 years with Radio Nigeria and he did not regret the experience.

In his words, “I started sports presenting with Radio Nigeria Ibadan 93.5FM in 2003. We actually started with an entertainment program called “Ko ma Roll”. To be honest with you, Yoruba Sports presenting was not as popular as this.

“Later In 2007, they established an ofshoot that propagates indigenous language called Amuludun FM 99.1 and we were asked to move to the branch for optimum performance. To cut the story short, Amuludun FM was the station that brought the entire South West region to a reality that Yoruba Sports presenting has come to stay.”

“My listeners were growing in leap and bound and the advert rate on my program jacked up and it became the cash cow for the station”.

Ayegbasports as fondly called whose personality attracts thousand of fans has now been appointed as Content Manager for Yoruba Program in the newly established radio station, Life Radio 107.5 having proved his mettle with some private radio stations during the formative years.

“I sincerely like to appreciate the Almighty God for His uncommon grace over my life. I’m also indebted to my loyal fans, friends and family, my colleagues in the profession and of course my clients, most of whom are sports administrators, coaches, Oyo FA, Sports Council and the Ministry of Youths and Sports for their love and prayers that take me to where I am today. With every sense of humility, I think I’m the first Yoruba Sports presenter that would double as Content Manager
