Humanitarian Service Award in recognition of his significant contributions to humanitarian causes.
The International Humanitarian Service Award is an annual ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates leaders and organizations dedicated to advancing international human rights on a global scale.

This prestigious award is bestowed upon individuals or groups that have consistently championed human rights and adhered to international human rights law, highlighting their exceptional achievements.

The award ceremony took place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, where dignitaries from various backgrounds gathered to witness the recognition of individuals who have tirelessly advocated for the rights of marginalized and oppressed individuals.

A total of 25 distinguished individuals received the Humanitarian Service Award, including Former President Goodluck Jonathan and Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma, among others.

During the event, Amb. Dr. Duru Hezikiah, the Director of Mission at International Human Rights Nigeria, emphasized the importance of dialogue over conflict in addressing insurgency. He urged everyone to embrace peace and lay down their weapons, as peace is the only path to global progress.

Expressing his gratitude, Alhaji Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat, the Chairman of Sure Etiquette Media Plus, viewed the award as a call to enhance his service to the voiceless and underrepresented.

Receiving recognition from International Human Rights, especially coming from Ibadan, fills me with joy. It serves as proof that hard work can be acknowledged and rewarded. Previously, I believed such awards were influenced by connections and networking, but today, as a local boy from Ibadan, I stand before you as an awardee at the Abuja International Conference Centre.

He concluded his remarks by acknowledging the strength provided by God for his humanitarian efforts and extended his appreciation to Agidigbo FM staff and all his supporters.

I attribute all glory to God, the source of strength for both the weak and the strong. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to my Agidigbo people, my silent supporters who keep me accountable, and all Nigerians who support our work. With God, one is a majority.

The awardees were congratulated and encouraged not to waver in their efforts, seeing the award as a call to even greater service and dedication to humanity.”
