Crest FM Completes “Operation 150 school bags, 1500 note books, 2000 writing materials”

In what has been described as quite unprecedented, Crest 106.1fm has completed its weeklong activities tagged” “OPERATION 150 SCHOOL BAGS, 1500 NOTE BOOKS, 2000 WRITING MATERIALS” to mark the second anniversary of one of its widely accepted shows, Orin Iyin which airs every Sunday at 7am.


While speaking at the different schools, the presenter of the programme, Mr Dayo Afolabi(GGA) said the initiative was made possible through the support of well meaning members of the listening public with their cash and moral support.

Mr Afolabi added that 150 indigent pupils across the three senatorial districts of Ondo State were selected based on recommendations by the Head teachers of the respective schools.

The official presentation of the materials were carried out at the different schools by the Chief Operating Officer, Mr Adeolu Gboyega, Head of News and Current Affairs, Mr Godday Ighoteguono, the Head of Marketing, Mr Yinka Ajagunna and the Ag. Head of Programmes, Damilola Taiwo.



In his remarks, the Chief Operating Officer, Mr Adeolu Gboyega who commended Mr Dayo Afolabi for his exemplary conduct assured that the station will do more in improving its Corporate Social Responsibility programmes while more schools will benefit from the initiative in due course.

The students were selected from the following schools:

ONDO CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT.

1. Alagbaka Primary School, Akure
2. Elemuletu Primary School, Akure
3. St. Paul Primary School, Akure
4. St. John Primary School, Oba-Ile
5. Fanibi Primary School, Akure

ONDO NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT.

1. L.A primary school, Igbe, Owo

2. Methodist primary school, Owo.

3. St. Luke’s primary School Isijogun, Owo.

4. Saint Mary Demonstration Primary School, Owo.

5. Olagbegi C&S Primary School, Owo

6. A.U.D ii ijebu Owo

7. Islamic Primary School, Ikare Akoko

8. St Stephen’s Primary School, Ikare Akoko.

ONDO SOUTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT

1. Baptist Primary School, Ode Aye
2. Community Primary School, Sabomi
3. Egudu Primary School, Gbodigo.
