Afouda Samuel to the youths: Talent is not enough in media, get trained

One of the finest pidgin radio presenters in the city of Ibadan, Afouda Samuel, widely known as “Baba agbalagba” on Thursday, October 21, 2021 implores all young intending media practitioners to get trained after discovering their media talent.

Afouda said this on Youth Naija programme anchored by James Atoyebi better known as “Jamborin” on Kings 103.9 FM, Ibadan, Oyo state.

According to him, “…after discovering your talent, groom yourself and get trained…to enter into media space is not an easy task. Enter into media through any means. You can enter as guest, friend to the house, IT, analyst…the main thing is getting inside the industry at first, then you’re a step closer to your media dream”

Also, he advised the youths to take advantage of the social media and the media technology, “with social media, you don’t need to have the money and know someone, all you need is your phone and data, then you’re good to go. You can start with a podcast, whereby you improve yourself. If you’re popular on social media, radio will want you. Take advantage of the technology and social media to do something good for yourself.

Afouda Samuel is a legal practitioner and a media entrepreneur per excellence in the city of Ibadan. He currently works with 32fm 94.9 and the executive operator of one of the fast growing media academy in Ibadan, Primus Media City, Ibadan.
