This is the more reason Primus Media City has gone this far to bring to your finger tips some mind blowing truths, one of which is ‘8 OAPs in Ibadan you may not know are blood related.’
Definitely, media is fun-filled, informative and educating, while attracting more lovers to itself through creative hands. The following listed OAPs will surprise you!
Abolade Salami and Abiodun Salami
Oh! They’re blood brothers? Taking them to be blood brothers will be highly ridiculous in comparison to the actual bond they share. Of a truth, Abolade Salami is the biological father of Abiodun Salami. Stop the doubt! Abolade Salami is a veteran radio presenter and the current Head of Operations/Director of Programmes at Fresh 105.9 FM Ibadan. The one time Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN and Splash FM veteran newscaster is an aged man doing well in the modern broadcast industry. A son following in his steps, is one of the best things that can happen to a father. Abiodun Omo Salami with the radio name De-Yelloman is the popular anchor of ‘L’agbo Regal’ on Fresh FM and Lagelu FM.
Oloruntoba Yusuf and Olasumbo Yusuf
‘When a person truly loves you, he or she will always find a way to spend time with you.’ This is exactly the case between Oloruntoba and Olasumbo Yusuf. They are two souls with a single thought and two hearts that beat as one, in the Radio industry. Mr and Mrs Toba Yusuf are peculiar OAPs painting the radio with the color of Love. Oloruntoba is an OAP on Beat 97.9 FM Ibadan, while his wife, Olusumbo works at Inspiration 100.5 FM as an OAP. The two lovers were both pioneer members of staff at Space FM, where they met and fell in love with each other. While Mr. Oloruntoba Yusuf is one of the hottest newscasters in the red roof city, his pretty ex-dancer wife and mother of two is well known for her professional delivery in anchoring children’s programmes.
Samuel Ibikunle and Emmanuel Ibikunle
Maybe you have wondered for a long period of time about their relationship. Well, Primus Media City to the rescue! Samuel Arugbo Boisi and Emmanuel Elere-Oba are identical twins from the family of Ibikunle. The strong bond from heaven continues amidst this, to OAPs on earth, to the point of their choice of professional expertise! Samuel ArugboBoisi Kehinde and Emmanuel Elere-Obá Taiwo are exceptional OAPs in Ibadan and beyond. Their deep Ibadan accent, humorous delivery, love for the Yoruba culture and surprisingly good mastery of the English Language stands them out as Not-Your-Regular presenters, especially as they are young yoruba presenters. One could bet that about 95% of their colleagues and friends may have mistaken them for the other at certain times, because they are extremely physically identical and they also sound alike.
Olayinka Ayefele and Olaolu Ayefele
Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON) is the elder brother of Olaolu Ayefele. They grew up under the watch of their parents, Late Chief and Mrs Joshua Ayefele together with their siblings in Ipoti-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. Olayinka Ayefele popularly known as ‘Oja’ on Radio is a world renowned Tungba musician, a media mogul, and the Chairman of Fresh FM Nigeria. He and his brother Laolu Ayefele, popularly known as ‘Baba Jingosa’ on radio are reputable radio presenters. Yinka Ayefele became a well-known radio presenter and a voice over /musical jingle guru some years back. He started his broadcasting career at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) as a freelance broadcaster on Premier 95.5FM Ibadan. Laolu is also a well travelled musician, and, as at the time of compiling this article, they are both radio presenters at the Fresh 105.9FM Nigeria.
