3 years in a row, Ajibola Akinyefa shines again at PERA Awards Night

At the Pacesetter Entertainment and Recognition Awards (PERA), 2022 edition, Ibadan based veteran Yoruba newscaster and indigenous radio presenter, Ajibola Akinyefa, better known as “Baba Olomi’ shines bright by winning his category at the Awards ceremony, making it 3-years victory in a row.

Baba Olomi as fondly called emerged the winner of the Indigenous Newscaster category at the 2022 PERA awards night. The awards ceremony took place on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Mauve 21 Event Center, Ring-Road, Challenge, Ibadan, Oyo state.

Ajibola Akinyefa is a Yoruba newscaster and broadcast journalist in Ibadan, South western part of Nigeria. He has carved an enviable niche for himself and bagged lots of awards and recognitions at both local and global level. He’s currently one of the strong hands at Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Ibadan, where he functions as the Deputy Director of Programs and Head of Yoruba Presentation Department.


Pacesetter Entertainment and Recognition Awards(PERA) was established in the year 2017 to celebrate, appreciate excellence and encourage Indigenes and residents of Oyo state in Arts and Entertainment who have made an indelible mark in their chosen Career. The 6th Edition of Pera Awards comprises of 30 categories recognising music, comedy, movie, media and different sphere of entertainment in the Pacesetter State.
