3 Decades Later, Tunji Olalekan of Bond FM bagged Masters Degree

Tunji Olalekan, a veteran Yoruba newscaster with Bond FM, Lagos well known as “Abere Gbolohun” bagged Masters Degree with PhD grades after 3 decades of graduating from secondary schools.

Tunji Olalekan, who graduated with the best result at The Lagos State University, from the department of Yoruba and Communication Arts in 2008 took to his social media platform to express his appreciation to God, friends and family.

In his words, “This year makes it 3 decades I finished my secondary school education, there was no hope to further as my father was not there for me, neither a brother nor sister was able to support me, then a hope was suddenly arose but cut short along the way.

Dr. Tunji said, “My class mates and friends were there for me with their words of encouragement, I tried all I could with the help of my elderly ones to persuade the promised helper but all efforts proved abortive. So all the hope to get a sound education was dashed but God Almighty, The Hope of the hopeless, The Omnipotent in His infinite mercy proved Himself in my life, THANK YOU LORD.”

“My dream to become a radio presenter was granted in 1996 through which I went on some professional courses before I got admission in to The Lagos State University in 2004 to study Yoruba and Communication Arts and finished with the best results. In 2016, I was honoured with Doctor of Divinity by Christ High Commission in London. Now a Certified Masters holder with PhD grades. HALLELUJAH” He added.
